Bank of America Sued for Unauthorized Wire Transfer
In February of 2005, a Florida business, Ahlo, sued Bank of America. Ahlo claims the Bank failed to take steps to prevent an unauthorized wire transfer of $90,000. Although not mentioned in the complaint, news stories [1], [2] have reported the Secret Service detected keystroke logging software called Coreflood on an Ahlo computer. The unauthorized wire transfer was allegedly performed by a thief who used Ahlo's access information to cause the fraudulent wire transfer.
